Claude Code error

You've hit your session limit · resets 3:45pm

Claude Code prints this when the session part of your plan allowance runs out. The reset time is yours; 3:45pm is the docs example.

Your plan session allowance ran out.
Claude Code stops until the time it printed.

What it means

Claude plans include a rolling usage allowance. When the session part runs out, Claude Code blocks further requests until the reset time in the message.

The session and weekly limits are shared across every model, so switching with /model does not bring access back.

Fix it

  1. Wait for the reset time in the message. In an interactive session signed in with a claude.ai plan, Claude Code can wait and carry on the task for you (version 2.1.234 and later, the Continue automatically at usage limit setting in /config).
  2. Run /usage to see your plan limits and when they reset.
  3. Run /usage-credits to buy more usage on Pro and Max, or to ask your admin on Team and Enterprise.
  4. Move to a higher plan if you hit this often: claude.com/pricing.

Switch while you wait

Hand the task to a vendor you already pay for while the window resets. If Codex or Gemini CLI is set up, run the same prompt there.

Or run Claude Code on your own Anthropic API key from the Console. You pay per token and there is no plan window. Set ANTHROPIC_API_KEY and Claude Code uses the key instead of the plan.

With superbot

superbot is your own AI agent with a model of its own that runs on superbot credits, so it keeps working when a vendor's plan runs out.

It also puts your own API keys behind one base URL, with one caller key, in the OpenAI or Anthropic format.

Calls on your own keys spend no superbot credits, and you pay your provider as usual.

Claude Code takes an Anthropic base URL, so see the ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL page.
