# superbot on GitHub

Install the App, then mention @superbot on an issue.
The result lands as a pull request.

## What it does

- Starts a cloud run on the project for a repo when `@superbot` is in an issue or pull request comment. The reply carries the run id and a link.
- Pushes onto the branch of a same-repo pull request, or opens a pull request.
- Takes two commands, `@superbot review` and `@superbot watch`.
- Reads your own GitHub profile, public repositories and notifications when your agent is asked to.
- Starts a routine on a GitHub event. It is saved as a draft that you turn on.

## Connect it

1. [Install the superbot GitHub App](https://github.com/apps/superbot-agent/installations/new). Choose your account or organization and the repos. An organization owner installs it for the organization.
2. In superbot, add each of those repos as a project.
3. Write `@superbot` and your ask in an issue or pull request comment. Anyone else links their GitHub account from the link in the first reply.

## What you can ask

in an issue comment

`@superbot fix the failing login test`

in a pull request comment

`@superbot review`

ask your agent

What is new in my GitHub notifications?

The first two are typed on GitHub. The third goes to your agent anywhere you use it.

## Permissions and limits

Status

The GitHub App is live. Not in the GitHub Marketplace yet.

Needs

A connected GitHub account. For @superbot, the App installed on the repo and your GitHub account linked.

Permissions

Only people with write access to the repository can start a run. The read-only lookups ask for read:user and notifications, and no repository access.

Runs

A run is cloud-only and lands as a pull request a person merges.
