# Usage limit reached for {number} {unit}. Your limit will reset at {next_flush_time}

Error code 1308, HTTP 429. Z.ai documents this as a template: it fills in the window, such as 5 hour, and the reset time.

You used up the plan window Z.ai named.
It resets at the time it gives.

## What it means

Your Z.ai plan usage for that window is exhausted. The message names the window and the time it resets.

Related codes: 1310 is the weekly or monthly limit, with its own reset time. 1316 and 1317 are the extra usage codes: they need a balance on the account.

## Fix it

1. Wait for the reset time in the message.
2. If you want extra usage past the window, it needs a balance. Without one the API returns the extra usage error.

## Switch while you wait

Use a Z.ai API key with a balance, so calls bill per use and not against the plan window.

Or move the task to a vendor you already pay for until the window resets.
