OpenAI API error

# Your organization must be verified to use the model

OpenAI sends this in a 403 response. The message goes on with the model name, the settings link and a note that access can take up to 15 minutes to propagate.

OpenAI gates its GPT Image models.
It does not see your organization as verified.

## What it means

OpenAI puts its GPT Image models behind API Organization Verification, even for a Tier 5 account.

The 403 means the organization behind the request has not passed it, or the API does not see that it has.

The message names the organization, not the key. It says access can take up to 15 minutes to propagate after you verify.

Some people still get the 403 after verifying. In one forum thread an organization verified for months got it on every call, with new keys and a wait past 15 minutes. A reply suggests checking the selected organization and making a new project and key, and no one reported that it worked.

## Fix it

1. Open the link in the message, [platform.openai.com/settings/organization/general](https://platform.openai.com/settings/organization/general), and check that the organization shows as verified. If it does not, choose Verify Organization.
2. Verification is a business or identity check. OpenAI's Help Center lists what to prepare, and says a result cannot be manually overridden.
3. After you are approved, wait up to 15 minutes, as the message says, before you call again.
4. If it still fails, check that the organization selected at the top left of the platform site is the one that verified. Then make a new project and a new API key in it. That is a forum suggestion, not official guidance.
5. If you cannot verify, you keep the access you already have. Make the image another way.

## With superbot

superbot cannot verify your OpenAI organization.
That check is OpenAI's, and a call on your own key still meets it.

If you only need the image, ask superbot for it.
With no image key of yours connected, it runs on superbot's own key, so your OpenAI organization is not part of the call.
