# OPENAI_BASE_URL

One variable points an OpenAI SDK or client at superbot.
Your own provider keys sit behind it.

[Get the app](https://superbot.gg/download?cta%5Fid=page%5Finstall) [where to point each client](https://superbot.gg/clients)

## Set it

```sh
export OPENAI_BASE_URL=https://api.superbot.gg/v1
export OPENAI_API_KEY=sbc_...
```

The value is superbot's base URL. The key is a caller key, which you mint on [the API console](https://superbot.gg/account/api#keys). An agent with no account follows [/auth.md](https://superbot.gg/auth.md), which ends with the request that mints one.

## What the lane takes

Base URL

`https://api.superbot.gg/v1`

Route

`POST https://api.superbot.gg/v1/chat/completions`

Key header

`Authorization: Bearer sbc_...`

Models

`GET https://api.superbot.gg/v1/models` lists every id your key can name.

## Your own keys

Add your own provider API keys to your account once. Every model they carry answers at this one base URL, with one caller key, in the OpenAI or Anthropic format.

Name the model id and the call goes to the provider that holds it. Calls on your own keys spend no superbot credits, and you pay your provider as usual.
