# Add superbot to your AI client

One MCP server, one link or command per client.
Pick yours below.

[Get the app](https://superbot.gg/download?cta%5Fid=page%5Finstall) [jump to the commands](https://superbot.gg/add#commands)

Sign-up is open. superbot asks you to sign in, or to make an account, when the client connects. No invite is needed.

## Open it in your client

Each link opens the client with superbot filled in. You confirm there.

- ### Claude
claude.ai opens an add-connector dialog and shows a notice that the values came from an external link. You confirm. The Free plan can add one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise an Owner adds it for the organization.
[Add to Claude](https://claude.ai/customize/connectors?modal=add-custom-connector&connectorName=superbot&connectorUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fapi.superbot.gg%2Fmcp)
- ### LM Studio
Needs LM Studio 0.3.17 or later. The link carries the server config; LM Studio asks before it installs it.
[Add to LM Studio](lmstudio://add%5Fmcp?name=superbot&config=eyJ1cmwiOiJodHRwczovL2FwaS5zdXBlcmJvdC5nZy9tY3AifQ%3D%3D)
- ### Cursor
Opens Cursor with the server prefilled. You confirm the install in Cursor.
[Add to Cursor](cursor://anysphere.cursor-deeplink/mcp/install?name=superbot&config=eyJ1cmwiOiJodHRwczovL2FwaS5zdXBlcmJvdC5nZy9tY3AifQ%3D%3D)
- ### VS Code
Opens VS Code with the server prefilled. You confirm the install in VS Code.
[Add to VS Code](vscode:mcp/install?%7B%22name%22%3A%22superbot%22%2C%22type%22%3A%22http%22%2C%22url%22%3A%22https%3A%2F%2Fapi.superbot.gg%2Fmcp%22%7D)

## Paste a command

Each one adds the same server. Copy it, run it in a terminal.

No account yet? Your agent follows [/auth.md](https://superbot.gg/auth.md): it signs you in with an emailed code.

- ### Claude Code
Run it, then open `/mcp` in Claude Code and sign in to superbot.
```sh
claude mcp add --transport http superbot https://api.superbot.gg/mcp -s user
```
- ### Codex
Run the add, then sign in with `codex mcp login superbot`.
```sh
codex mcp add superbot --url https://api.superbot.gg/mcp
```
- ### Windows
The on-device agent registry. It needs Windows build 26220.7262 or later, and Microsoft marks it pre-release.
```
odr.exe mcp add --uri https://api.superbot.gg/mcp
```
- ### Agent skill
The skills CLI finds the skill in the site index at `/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json`. Use skills 1.5.16 or later.
```sh
npx skills add https://superbot.gg
```
- ### Link installer
For Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor and VS Code. It replies with the client's add command and a link you approve. [The reply fields are in the docs](https://superbot.gg/docs).
```sh
curl -X POST 'https://api.superbot.gg/mcp/install?client=claude-code'
```

## Needs an admin first

These products let an admin add a custom server. Each row links the vendor's own steps.

- ### ChatGPT
Web only, for Business and Enterprise/Edu workspaces. An admin or owner adds it under Plugins, Add custom MCP server, and publishes it. Pro can connect custom servers with read and fetch permissions only.
[OpenAI guide](https://help.openai.com/en/articles/12584461-connecting-custom-mcp-servers-in-chatgpt)
- ### Mistral
Custom connectors in Work are admin only, with OAuth 2.1 and dynamic client registration. On Free, Pro and Student plans the account owner is the admin.
[Mistral guide](https://docs.mistral.ai/le-chat/knowledge-integrations/connectors/mcp-connectors)
- ### Perplexity
Custom remote connectors are an organization feature. Members can add one only if an admin turns it on, and it is off by default. Needs Pro, Max or Enterprise.

## Use the models in Goose

This one is for models, not tools. Every model on your account answers at one base URL with one caller key, in the OpenAI format.

Save the file in Goose's `custom_providers` folder: `~/.config/goose/custom_providers/` on macOS and Linux, `%APPDATA%\Block\goose\config\custom_providers\` on Windows. Set `SUPERBOT_API_KEY` to a caller key from [the API console](https://superbot.gg/account/api#keys). The file holds no key.

- ### Goose custom provider
The format is the one Goose documents for custom providers.
